RIGHT DIRECTION
A BOLD CALL TO ACTION
It’s a bold call to action that restores the promise of the Constitution and reclaims our unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness for all Rhode Islanders and every American citizen.
It is the process that applies common sense solutions TODAY to the uncommon challenges we face as a state and nation, from the cost of energy and food to a collapsing healthcare system to housing challenges, so we do not squander the natural resources and opportunities we have and those we create in the future.
Representing Rhode Island, whose motto is “HOPE,” Right Direction Right Now seeks to unify diverse voices behind a common, optimistic vision to move forward, securing freedom, values, and prosperity for every Rhode Islander, indeed every American.
ENSURE JUST AND CONSTITUTIONAL LAWS
Repeal laws that threaten personal freedoms and free markets.
Every member of Congress takes the oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Why, then, are so many bills that violate that oath introduced and passed? These bills clip your income, your liberties – or both – in one bad law after another. Ray is committed to confronting these assaults on your pocketbook and liberty before the bills are passed and will look to rescind such bills already making it hard for Rhode Islanders and Americans to prosper, succeed in life, and enjoy the liberties that are encapsulated in our Constitution. This action leads us in the Right Direction.
SECURE OUR BORDERS
Prioritizing the best interests of Rhode Islanders and Americans first.
For decades, both parties have had opportunities to address the complex issues surrounding legal immigration and illegal entry into the United States of America and have failed. Ignoring the hard challenges that our senior senator and his colleagues were elected to take on has created a divided state and nation and an open attack on the Rule of Law, which poses a detrimental threat to the safety, health, and well-being of every Rhode Islander and American.
Ray is committed to addressing a responsible immigration and enforcement policy that considers the best interest of Rhode Islanders and Americans First. This action leads us in the Right Direction.
GROW OUR ECONOMY FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL
And stem inflation that hurts those struggling to manage.
Rhode Islanders rightfully complain about the high cost of heating their homes and keeping the lights on. Since 2011, Rhode Island’s senior Senator has worked to fund, and pass laws to implement premature, irresponsible energy policies for the Ocean State under the guise of environmental responsibility that have increased our utility bills, hampered our fishermen, blighted our magnificent ocean view while not providing a secure electric grid to support our new technologies; he has voted to continue to send billions of American taxpayers’ dollars overseas (governments and NGO’s) while ignoring the nation’s homeless children and parents, our crumbling water, electric, and transportation infrastructure; and he has not challenged the purchase of thousands of acres of farmland by communist China, all with no regard for the sovereignty or safety of America.
Cognizant of these issues, Ray is committed to getting both houses of Congress and colleagues on both sides of the aisle to work together for long-term strength and stability of our housing, food, water, energy, and transportation resources. These actions lead us in the Right Direction.
PROTECT SOCIAL SECURITY
Stop government’s deficit spending, Balance the budget.
The last time the federal government balanced its budget was FY 2001. The time before that was in FY 1960. The government has been running a deficit in Social Security since 2009. The federal government, with the support of Rhode Island’s senior senator, clearly has a poor record of spending and budget management while it takes more from the Rhode Island and federal taxpayers.
There are many reasons for this history of bad management, waste, and horrible fraud that steals from you, the taxpayer and your children, but most of it stems from mistaken congressional belief that extravagant good intentions outweigh limited resources. “Ends justify the means.” THEY DO NOT!
Every government plan to “HELP” eventually and sadly falls into corruption, fraud, and theft, hurting its intended beneficiaries, making it harder for Rhode Islanders to make ends meet, and further undermining the public’s trust in government. Ray is committed to cutting “well-intentioned” programs, slashing wasteful, redundant spending by unaccountable, unelected government departments and agencies, and by seeking prison time for those who steal from you, the taxpayer. These actions lead us in the Right Direction.
